About

Self catering, holiday let railway carriage cabin in the heart of Dungeness Nature Reserve, right on the Kent coast.

Two carriages become one home - The Log Cabin. The main railway that serviced the area from the 1880's allowed redundant workers to buy the old rolling stock in the 1920's. Many carriages were dragged onto the shingle and set up as their homes.

We fell in love with The Log Cabin and our shingle retreat has enriched our lives ever since.

Comfort on the coast. You can eat well, sleep well and feel closer to nature here. Great local food and produce, perfect for dining out or at the cabin.

Set deep into the Dungeness Nature Reserve you can enjoy a truly unique, unspoilt landscape for exploring or simply watching. It's a great spot for birding, cycling, walking, and fishing.
